Ecodriving - Driving Course / Training
Based in the Morecambe and Lancaster areas and covering The North West including Lancashire, Cumbria, South Lakes, North Yorkshire, Manchester.
Ecodriving, economy driving or Eco-safe driving has a good influence on driving safely through the anticipation of hazards. Harsh braking, harsh acceleration, poor use of the car controls and being in the wrong gear can contribute to poor fuel economy. Progressive braking, gentle or smooth acceleration, hazard awareness, planning, effective use of the car controls and being in the correct gear for the road conditions all contribute to better fuel economy. The earlier you can anticipate a hazard then the earlier you can react to it which will improve the overall economy of your driving. The Ecodriving course replaces the old SMARTER driving course.
The benefits of eco-driving or eco-safe driving includes:
Reduced fuel consumption and increased MPG by up to 15%
Reduced wear and tear of your vehicle.
Reduced vehicle carbon emissions.
Reduced air pollutants.
Lower accident rate through good and effective observation, anticipation and planning.
Advance Driver Training specialises in Ecodriving / eco-safe driving to save you money in the long term whilst coaching you to a high level of hazard awareness and drive planning. The Ecodriving course lasts for one hour per driver, with maximum of 8 drivers per day.
Price: £30 for the 1 hour course.
